Weekend Workshop

Hey Creed 412 Worship Team! Thanks for your contributions on Saturday and for hearts so passionate for our purpose.

Just a reminder that we're looking at worship for March 18th. What songs are on your hearts?

Also, please check you calendars for the remainder of March.  I'll be asking for dates this week, and we'll publish the rotation for the rest of the month by week's end.

  1. A song that has really been on my heart to do is the stand but the whole song. I feel like it just such a powerful song and I would love to do the whole song.

  2. I think we can and I agree, it's powerful. With almost 2 weeks, the only question is who will be able to play drums. We'll try to settle that by tomorrow. Other ideas? We actually have to create 2 song sets to gain our 2 week schedule.

  5. THIS IS ADAM< I dont know how to make an account :)

Natalie the one from the retreat right? yeah i enjoy that one alot aswell.
Cindy- I Think the stand would be better for the 24th because we've done it alot and i love it so i dont want it to become "old" but if you like im down for doing it.

    I'm thinkin:
    O Praise him
    Hallelujah
    Mighty to save
Majesty and I will rise (there the same key and tempo) <--- could be really cool
    What do you guys think?

  6. definately word of God speak, but not mercy me's version, the one done by KUTLESS. it is an amazing song that gives such an opportunity to really reach out and cry your heart before the Lord.

  7. So this is basically a dialog about songs we like, but they can be done in weeks to come. I'd like to see the team use Russ's suggested method to learn The Stand, the whole song, so we'll need to rehearse it before we use it an make sure we have it right.

  8. Team feedback on Adam's suggested list?

  9. The list Adam posted sounds good to me. I just can't wait to have youth group this week, last Friday was so weird without it.

  10. I feel like we do O Praise Him and Majesty a lot. And The whole song The Stand sound like a good plan, but we definitely need 2 or 3 weeks to practice the whole thing.

  11. I would like to do Happy day and the set list sounds good as well.

  12. Dear everyone,
No! O Praise Him is amazing and needs to be done this week cause I love it. Okay? Good.
I like the set list, and we should do Waves of Mercy as our walk in. Cause we haven't in forever and everyone loves it. It'll bring back everyone from the weird weekend.
    'Kay?
    Love, Belle

  13. Could we hold Happy Day for a couple of weeks or play it again when i come back?
It's my favorite song but I won't be back until april.
Mighty to Save is a good one though and its fresh.

  14. Consider the structure of these songs. If we sing each song only one time through (which you know we won't), our worship set will go over 30 min...repeat as we usually do, 45 min, twice the time we are allotted.

    Here's what I mean.

    O Praise Him: 2 v, chorus, bridge, la-las
Hallelujah: 2 vs, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge
Mighty To Save: 2 verses, chorus, bridge
    Majesty: 2 verses, chorus, bridge
I Will Rise: 2 verses, chorus, bridge

To simplify, I suggest holding back Mighty to Save for next week. That way we can use I Will Rise and Majesty back to back.

Walk In: Every Move I Make
    O Praise Him
Hallelujah for the Blood of the Lamb
    I Will Rise right into
    Majesty

    Should I post?

One thing, I should have been more specific the Majesty and i will rise would be the length of like 1.25 songs (: like we could do i will rise and then end with two times through MAJESTY! ya know?

I would like to keep mighty to save if possible

  16. I like it you should post it as this weeks set list

  17. The set will still be too long. Something has to be cut. Think about doing just the chorus of one of the other songs, or dropping one song altogether. We cannot do 5 songs. Many times we've only done 3 songs and its been an affective set and conducive to worship.

  18. hey, everyone this is Hannah
I listened to are set list and it doesn't seem to flow really well maybe we can make some adjustments.

  19. hey Hannah again i think it would be awesome if we could do Talmidim this way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBxztg685HY&feature=related if at all possible with the scripture and what we would be saying displayed on the projector. Because i watched the video with out the words displayed and you couldn't hear clearly what they were saying. when listened to it again with the words displayed it was about10X more impacting when i read it. Give it a listen and see what you think.

  20. HEY!! i dnt know how to just put up a comment, so im gonna comment here :) um, so anyway, song choices..
i really really would like if you guys check out I Surrender by Kim Walker or Jesus Culture (they are the same) im doing it at my youth group and the song is great cause if we have a really intimate night of worship, we should end with this.
yeah, oh, and i wont be ther this week, soooo, can we just not do it this week if we decide to do it???? lol.
